Cadbury Dairy Milk contains Pig's DNA

In a recent report published on the Arab News, dated June 01, 2014 it is disclosed that renowned chocolate dairy milk contains DNA of porks or more generally called pigs. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) collected random chocolate bars from all around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Samples. These samples were taken as a result of a report by the Malaysian Health Ministry which confirmed the presence of pig’s DNA in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate.

SFDA mentioned in its statement that Malaysian Government confirmed the derivatives of Pork in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate bars. However, according to the tests applied by the SFDA, they are not able to find any such thing. Executive Chairman of the SFDA said in his statement that Saudi Arabia does not import the Dairy Milk Chocolate from the countries from which Malaysia imports. This can be the main reason; we could not find anything like this in Saudi chocolates.

Pork, pigs or porcine is prohibited in Islam and Muslims in Malaysia took this issue very seriously. In my personal humble opinion, if something can go wrong in Malaysia, it can go wrong even in Saudi Arabia. You are sensible enough so I would not suggest you anything. But be careful!!!!
