Freedom of Residents of Saudi Arabia

With so many positivity about Saudi Arabia there maybe one such that I would certainly not approve off but sadly we have to live with it. However I'm not sure whether they don't like it or maybe they are used to the situation. What I am talking about is the ‘Freedom of Saudi Residents’. What do I mean by that?  People in Saudi Arabia have to be very careful about what they speak, see, talk, preach etc. This implies to not only the women but equally on the men as well. There have been many instances reported in newspapers when residents have been punished based upon the statements they made on social media. When we are living in a country, we must abide by the rules and regulations of that country.

Mutawas (HAIA or Committeefor the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice) are people who keep an eye on the activities of the people in public places such as shopping malls, restaurants etc. They consider it their responsibility to PURIFY the state. The situation is so restrictive that a husband cannot hold hands of his own wife of the fear of what people might think or say! The Saudis belong to very respectable families and it would not suite them to be in target for such discussions where there family is questionable. Many women who move to the Saudi Arabia from United States find it extremely difficult to adapt to the situation. Many of them do not wish to cover their heads even after moving to Saudi Arabia. For them the major questioning is why they won't? Usually the Mutawas (HAIA or Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice) would call after them and order them to cover their head.

In Saudi Arabia you must act appropriately even with your close circle of friends and family. You must be presentable throughout to be clean from any ill comments! In such cases where you may be blamed, you cannot easily defend yourself. The citizens of Saudi Arabia when go abroad they feel freedom even though they don't hate their nationality or country. They just admit the fact that lives becomes a lot simpler and uncomplicated outside. It may be right that people should stick to what effects them and not nose around to what others do. However there are some things not many people can question but merely live with and get used to.

Now the question arises, why we feel restrictive in Saudi Arabia? Well, the answer is so simple. Rules in Saudi Arabia are set to abide by the Sharia rules. People might say that it is so restrictive but what on earth is not restrictive? All the creatures made by Allah are beneficial when they are restricted. Water is beneficial for us but when it comes out of its restrictions, it becomes Tsunami. Even the Globe Earth is restricted to its circle. If it deviates even a meter from its track, everything in the solar system will collapse. When all the creatures made by the Allah are restricted to something which has been ordered to them, why cannot we?
