Top 5 Most Beautiful Buildings in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is a land of beauty filled with charm and glamour. It is considered one of the richest countries with the spectacular views and natural sites just amazing for one’s eye. It is the largest oil exporter, with 2nd largest oil reserves worldwide, and 6th largest natural gas reserves in the world. There are amazing tall buildings which one cannot stop looking at. Due to its glamour and attraction, investors from architecture firms started investing leading to some beautiful buildings throughout the country. Here are some amazing beauties which we are going to discuss:

Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel: It is the tallest building in Saudi Arabia, in the city of Makkah with 120 stories and biggest 4 faced- clock reaching an immense height of 601 meters. It is thus the world’s 3rd tallest building. It was built in 2012 and is approved for further construction and by 2018 it will be the World’s tallest building with a rise by 1000metres.It is also known as Abraj Al-Bait Towers. It is very near to the world’s largest mosque, Masjid ul Haram. The Kingdom’s largest company, Saudi Binladen group is the contractor. If you go to by Road, you can identify this building from miles.

Kingdom Center Building: Kingdom Centre also known as Burj-ul-Mumlikah or Kingdom Tower is 302 meters tall to be the 3rd tallest building in Saudi Arabia as well as world’s 95th tallest building. It is constructed in Riyadh. There is shopping mall, apartments and hotel in it. It is built over a vast area of 100,000 sq meters. Its modern architectural design and inverted parabolic arch referred to as “necklace” of Riyadh is eye catching.  It’s inside beautiful site is of rows of palm trees, fountain, and elevated walkways. It has the largest ballroom in Riyadh. Kingdom Tower has been associated with the city of Riyadh. If you just search for images of Riyadh on Google, you will find most of the pictures of Kingdom Tower.

Islamic Development Bank (IDB): It is located in Jeddah and is a finance institution constructed in December 1973, at first organization of Islamic cooperation by finance ministers and King Faisal’s support. It gives professional and financial advice and support to the developing countries. The financial year followed is Lunar Hijra year with official language being Arabic. There are 21 floors above the ground and 2 underground with a height of 106m. There are two administration towers joined with a single roof.

Al Faisaliah Complex: Also called star dome, with 267m of height, is located in Riyadh consisting of an office, luxurious hotel, conference room and amazing shopping mall. There is a shiny sparkly golden ball on its peak above which the four wall corners converge giving a ball point appearance. The ball is the country’s highest restaurant which one would love to visit. Fosters and Partners designed it beautifully by 14th May 2000. There are galleries for viewing outside on the building’s peak.

Al Anoud Tower in Riyadh: Burj ul Anoud lies in the heart of Riyadh, 155m high with 40floors. It was owned by King Fahad’s wife, Princess Al-Anoud Bint Abdul Aziz. It gives an artistic impression when it shimmers in daylight. It has a commercial space as well as an office with 5 star luxurious hotels.
