Best Public Libraries in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Libraries have been gaining great significance since few last decades. People have become more urged to book reading despite of availability of Electronic books on internet. If you are living in Riyadh and looking for some good libraries, let me tell you about book heavens you can find in Riyadh.

King Abdul-Aziz Public Library: This library has several programs for readers especially for children. The library has majority books related to self-printing press of King Abdul-Aziz Public library knows as KAPL publishers. The library management takes part in various exhibitions and educational expos. The printing press offers creativity programs for children for illustration of their skills and innovative ideas. KAPL offers largest collection of cartographic material.

Men’s Section - Opening Times - Saturday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.  - Friday 4 – 9 p.m.
Women’s Section - Sunday – Wednesday 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. then 4 – 8 p.m. - Thursday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Princess Nora University Library: It is the best place you can find in Riyadh to spend quality time while reading books. It is not just library; Princess Nora University is one of world’s best and most beautiful university campuses. Its interior makes you feel as if you are sitting inside a seven star hotel or a luxurious palace. The mesmerizing beauty of university campus and fascinating library interior makes you forget about reading for a while. The library has a capacity for 5 million books and offer long timings and comfortable environment to readers. The only problem with this option is that you must be a university student or faculty member to avail this opportunity. The university offers under graduate programs, so getting enrolled in such program to avail the chance to visit book heaven on daily basis is not a bad choice.

King Fahad Library: This is one of the old libraries in Riyadh. It offers a wide collection of books and study material. There are few readers who know about this book heaven. King Fahad Library is located at King Fahad road which has gone through a complete renovation. The sitting area, interior and book catalogue is completely updated now. You can spend quality time here but it offers reading facility only for men.  Opening Times:  - Sunday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

King Salman Central Library: This library is associated with King Saud University and is located in the middle of male campus. The library is one of the best places in KSA for readers. Once you start visiting this books land, you would never stop imaging about your visit on daily basis. It is associated with a big university for the fact it is well stocked and has almost all latest editions of book series. You may find a treasure of books here which is going to stuck you for hours.

Men section - Opening Times - Sunday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. - Friday 2 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Women section - Saturday 8 a.m. -5 p.m.
