Top 6 Countries with Slowest Internet

Whenever we use the internet, we want our requested page and information to load up instantly. We somehow forget that we all were using the extremely slow Dial up internet. Something which we take for granted today, was not even possible a couple of years back. Most developed countries now have extremely fast internet connections available; however there are still some countries that are using extremely slow internet. Below we have compiled a list of countries with the slowest internet.

Firstly we have Libya, which is the number one country on this list. Libya has been engulfed in civil uprisings and unrest. They have had internet connections since 2000, however still 52 percent of the internet users in the country get speeds of 256 kbps or lower on their internet. The country has had a lot to deal with obviously and have not improved greatly on this, as only 6 percent of the slow internet users, experienced slightly faster speeds.

Secondly on this list we have Nepal. The country has had internet since 1994, however still 32 percent of its internet users face slow internet speeds of less than 256 kbps. Even though the speed of the internet is slow, little to no effort has been done to upgrade the internet services for these users as only about 4 percent of these slow internet users received an upgrade or faster internet speeds.

Third on this list we have Nigeria. This country is located in the western region of Africa and has had internet since 1995. 31 percent of the internet users in Nigeria use a slow internet connection with speeds of 256 kbps or less. However the relevant authorities are making an effort to provide faster internet services to all its users as 16 percent of these users received an upgraded internet speed.

Fourth on this list we have Iran, which is located in the western region of Asia. Iran has had internet in the country since 1993. 30 percent of the internet users in the country have internet speeds of 256 kbps or less. Very little efforts have been done by the Iranian authorities it seems, as only 6 percent of these internet users were given faster internet speeds.

Number 5 on this list is India. India is becoming the new Silicon Valley as the tech business and overall economy is booming. However even with such rapid development 27 percent of the internet users in the country receive internet speeds of 256kbps or less. By the results it seems that Indian authorities have done little to none to improve internet speeds for its citizens as only 5 percent of the internet users in the country.

Number 6 on this list is Bolivia, which is a South American country. The country has had internet since the year 2000, yet almost 25 percent of the internet users in the country receive internet speeds of 256 kbps or less. This is supposedly a great concern to the Bolivian authorities as they have provided faster internet services to about 22 percent of these slow internet users.
