Celebrations of Pakistan and India’s Independence Day in Saudi Arabia

Celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence Day
The members of Pakistan Community in Saudi Arabia will celebrate Pakistan Independence Day on Friday Aug, 14, 2015.  On the occasion, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held in the Embassy of Pakistan Riyadh at 0830 hours.  The flag hoisting ceremony will also be held in the Consulate General of Pakistan Jeddah at Consul General’s residence at 0800 hours.  All members of Pakistani community along with their families are cordially invited to attend.

Pakistan embassy is arranging Mango Festival on August 14 in Riyadh to celebrate Independence Day. It is a family event with numerous fun activities for children and adults. Celebrations of India’s Independence Day
A flag hoisting ceremony will be held on the premises of Consulate General of India, Tahlia Street (Behind McDonalds & National Commercial Bank), Jeddah, on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day at 8 a.m. on Saturday.  Consul General B.S.Mubarak will host the Tricolor on the occasion. All Indian nationals, persons of Indian origin and friends of India have been invited to attend the ceremony and take their seats by 7.45 a.m. Indians form Saudi Arabia’s largest expatriate workforce, with around 2.7 million working in various fields across the Kingdom. India will mark its 69th Independence Day on Aug. 15 — a historic day that marks the country’s freedom from the British Raj.
