Size does matter: Saudi woman got divorce from husband for his short size

Divorces occur due to numerous reasons but the recent case came in light when a Saudi wife demanded divorce as the husband’s size matters. According to the wife’s verdict she doesn’t like the physical appearance of her husband and therefore she demanded a divorce. The wife told the court that that she is way taller than her spouse and this is really embarrassing situation for her. She further added that she tried her best to cope with the situation but she failed as her husband was not a perfect match for her. After the hearing session the court shifted the case to higher court authorities for further investigation. There has been no case of such discrimination in the past. The wife suggested that she can no longer fulfill her duty as a wife to the husband who is not at all good in looks and physical appearance.

Surprisingly, the Saudi woman did not like her husband height and therefore plans to divorce him. As reported by the Gulf News, the woman was tired of bearing the pun made on her as she was married to a short heighted man. She was ridiculed by the people when she used to travel with her short heighted husband and this made her feel really awkward. Many people criticized the woman for being heartless. The question that is most important here is why the woman didn’t object the height of the man before getting married to him. She would already know the exact physical appearance of the man. It has been observed that most of the divorces among spouses are due to lack of understanding or financial issues.

As a matter of fact, every human being is made by God, and Allah knows who is best at the heart. This is so painful to hear that a woman rejects a man just because he is shorter in height or he is not handsome. What if somebody has got a handsome husband with perfect height but he is not good to his wife? Therefore, it’s not a good idea of judging people by their physical appearance.

Divorce is the legal dissolution by a court or competent body to end the marriage. Unfortunately, the divorce rate is increasing throughout the world with the passage of time. According to recent studies, about one out of every two or three marriages end in divorce which is a very alarming situation .Divorce pact that is being carried out between the parents affects the children very badly. The children suffer from great loss as they get neglected by their parents.

They deal with depression and the fear of facing other kids. No doubt, divorce is hard for everyone whether it’s the husband or the wife. In many cases both the husband and wife try hard to solve the problem. Since they can’t fix the problem the only solution they look forward to divorce. Another study suggests women are more likely than men to demand a divorce in a martial relationship.
