8 Free Parking Areas around Masjid al Haram in Makkah

I was planning to write about some places where people can park their cars free of cost near Masjid al-Haram Makkah. I knew only a couple of places so I asked from people on my facebook page to help me out in it. Finally, today I am sharing with you many places to park your cars free of cost in Makkah. It is important to mention here that all the below mentioned parking places are free of cost. Which parking place is more suitable to you depends upon the area from where you are coming into Makkah.

  1. Kudai Parking: The most famous parking area in Makkah is Kudai Parking. The parking area is huge so you can find place there very easily. Normally taxi charges around SR 15 to go to Masjid al Haram. However, during Ramadan days, SAPTCO service operates 24 hours a day and they charge only SR 3 per person. This is the best parking place during Ramadan. GPS Location
  2. Rasifa Parking: If you are going to Makkah from Jeddah or Madina, I think the best parking place is Rasifa Parking. While heading towards Makkah from Jeddah on Makkah Highway, you need to take right from the first signal you face there. The parking is free and you taxi charges only SR 15 to reach Masjid al Haram. 3. Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel: I think this is the closest parking area to the Masjid al Haram. You can walk for 5 mins and enter the boundaries of Masjid al Haram. You don’t need to take any taxi. However, most of the times this area is overcrowded and it is difficult to find parking spot there. GPS Location
  4. Al Hajoon Parking: This parking area is situated across the Jannat ul Mualla or Mualla graveyard. This location is good for parking only if you can walk for around 12 mins to reach to the Masjid al Haram. If you take taxi from there, it will cost you a lot as it is around 6.3 km by drive. 5. Maskhoutah Parking: There is another free parking area where you can park your vehicle while going to Masjid al Haram. You just need to cross a tunnel and you are in the masjid al haram. Normally taxi charges around SR 10 to be there. If you are alone, they charge SR 3 per person. GPS Location
  6. Masjid Aisha R.A: There is a big parking area around Masjid Aisha R.A in Makkah where you can park your vehicle free of cost. After parking your vehicle there, you can take taxis which charges only SR 2 per person to drop you to the Masjid al Haram in Makkah. GPS Location
  7. Behind Masjid Nafeeh Makkah: You can park your vehicle behind Masjid Nafeeh Makkah free of cost and walk to the Masjid al Haram. It is on 10 mins walk from the Masjid al Haram. GPS Location
  8. Hajj Parking Area: If you are going to perform Umrah during Ramadan, authorities will stop you at Hajj Parking Area. This area is around 20km away from Masjid al Haram and it takes you around 45 mins to reach Masjid al Haram from there. Bus Service charges SR 10 for up and down to Masjid al Haram from this point. That’s the reason most of the people try to reach Kudai Parking bypassing the security circles which is not recommended at all. GPS Location
