Saudi Airlines arrested a gang for stealing from the passengers in Airplanes

Saudi Arabian Airlines is the national airline of Saudi Arabia. As its Headquarters are in Jeddah so all the main operational work of Saudi Arabian Airlines deals from King Abdulaziz International Airport which is in Jeddah (JED).  Saudi Arabian Airlines operates domestic as well as international flights covering more than 70 destinations around the world. Recently, Saudi Arabian Airlines started taking preventive steps to enhance their security and checking system because of the international gangs robbing onboard. The international gangs are searching bags of passengers and then robbing by stealing the money of passengers along with their stuff when passengers are in a sleep state or in toilets.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) already informed all the airlines globally in the past to beware. The purpose of informing airlines around the world is to make sure all airlines are secure. Saudi Arabian Airlines started taking preventive steps against these internationally organized gangs which rob during flights.  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade union of all the airlines globally which consists of 268 airlines. IATA’s basic motive is to monitor activities of all the airlines and provide support for the policy formulation which is per the standards.   Saudi Arabian Airlines forwarded the information received by the International Air Transport Association to its crew staff to keep an eye on any unusual activity of passengers from different nationalities during the flight.

Mansour Al-Bader, who is the director of media and public relations in Saudi-Arabia, added the specifications of each member from international gangs onboard. These gangs onboard are groups which comprise of three or four members who wear shirts of the same color but they never sit together. These thieves put their baggage in the overhead bin. This way they easily can get an excuse and open locks of the overhead compartment without making any doubt.

Mansour Al-Bader also stated that Saudi Arabian Airlines crew successfully highlighted three robbery attempts. These three robbery attempts failed and were caught at the perfect time at different points during the trip in the month of October. All group members had Chinese nationalities. Recently, Saudi Arabian Airline Flight SV567 which had a route from Dubai airport (DXB) to Jeddah (JED) noticed a Chinese passenger engaged in suspicious activity as he just moved around the cabin and went to the toilet many times repeatedly.

When the flight prepared for landing, a flight attendant examined the Chinese passenger, which was trying to grab the bag of another passenger. The attendant instantly alarmed the passenger and informed the pilot. The pilot mentioned to the control tower to ensure security measures on the arrival of the plane at the gate. The Police took him into custody as he reached the airport.  Another similar incident happened on Flight SV576 from Jeddah to Abu Dhabi, where a thief was caught stealing an amount of $2,000 from a young Sudanese passenger. Police detained the thief and the passenger offered a bonus to the flight attendant of SV576 for helping him out but the flight attendant refused.
